Louise W. Yancovitz died on March 10th at Sunbridge Nursing Home in No. Reading Saturday evening at the age of 87. Louise was born and raised in Boston and she graduated from Boston Girls High School. Louise was a longtime Melrose resident who was a Medical Records Secretary at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for over 20 yrs and a member of the Ladies Sodality at St Mary's Church in Melrose. She was the wife of Joseph J. Yancovitz of Melrose. Mother of Joseph J Yancovitz Jr. of Stoneham, Jean Tammaro of Reading and Mary Lou Rush of Townsend. Sister of the late Catherine Wedgeworth , John, William, Francis, and Mary Kiernan. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, a great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St. Melrose on Wednesday March 14 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts., Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
