Lucy Eleanor (Garofalo) Politano, of Melrose, MA, age 101, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025. Lucy was born in Everett, MA. Loving daughter of the late Rose (Matucci) Garofalo and Pietro Garofalo. Loving sister of the late Antoinette (Garofalo) MacKay. Also, loving sister to the late Vincent, Pasquale, Alfred, and Peter Garofalo.

She is survived by her children; Victoria Theriault, John Politano Jr., and Louise Durand. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be a private, closed casket service on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. Relatives are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. A Catholic Service will immediately follow in the Funeral Home from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be held at the Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose, MA.
