Mabelle M (Benway) Tambini Gray died after a long illness at home Dec.16th at the age of 95. She was born in North Adams and raised in Lynn. Mabelle was a homemaker, lived in West Peabody for 56yrs and Melrose the past 4yrs. Mabelle worked for the Winsor Button Shop at the North Shore Mall in Peabody for 8yrs.. She was a former member and CCD teacher at Our Lady of The Assumption Church in Lynnfield and a present member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late James L. Gray and the late Frank J. Tambini. Mother of Frank J. Tambini & his wife Marion of Melrose and William M. Tambini & his wife Frances of W. Peabody. Sister of the late William Benway. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Wednesday December 19 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitng hours Tues 5 - 9 PM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
