Obituary

Madeline E. Bradley passed away on Wed. Dec. 19th at Melrose Care Center after a long illness. Madeline was born in Haverhill, raised in Jamaica Plain, graduated from Jamaica Plain High School and attended Boston Clerical School. She lived most of her life in Jamaica Plain and the past 5yrs. in Melrose. Madeline worked as a secretary for the Boston School Dept. for over 35yrs, many of them at Boston Latin School and several years for the Assistant Superintendant of Boston Schools. She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Jamaica Plain as a lecture and CCD teacher. Madeline was very active in the National Assoc. of Educational Secretaries and Catholic Daughters of America. She was the daughter of the late Thomas W. & Madeline F. (Rothmund) Bradley. Sister of Edna J. Bradley and Frances E. Flint both of Melrose. Godmother & aunt of Mark F. Flint of Melrose. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Dec. 22nd at 8:30 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held Sat. morning from 7:30-8:30 AM. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in W.Roxbury.Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc. 36 Cameron Ave. Cambridge 02140 or Melrose Care Center 40 Martin St. Melrose 02176.
