Madeline M. (ORourke) Kelly passed away at the Epoch Senior Care Center in Melrose, on March 14, 2007. She was 93. Madeline was the daughter of the late Michael J. & Beatrice (Ford) ORourke. She was born and raised in Mission Hill, graduated from Mission High School and lived most of her life there. Mrs. Kelly worked for Sears & Roebuck in Boston, Daggerts Chocolate factory in Cambridge, Carters Ink Company and for Spidel Bracelet Company in Brookline. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling and has been a resident of Melrose for over 20 years. Wife of the late Alfred J. Kelly. Mother of Patricia Galluzzo of Melrose & the late Robert J. Kelly. Mother-in-law of Margaret Kelly of Roslindale. Sister of Geraldine Ferris of Green Harbor, Catherine Walsh of Bellingham and the late John, Francis, Vincent ORourke and Margaret Goss. Grandmother of John R. Galluzzo & his wife Susan, Lisa Galluzzo & Michael Galluzzo all of Melrose, Karen Noe & her husband Paul of NH & Kevin Kelly of Roslindale. Great grandmother of Bobby Noe & John Robert Galluzzo Jr. Dear friend of the late Julius Krupka. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, March 19th at 9:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
