Madeline G. (Riley) Vitale, of Rochester, NH, formerly of Melrose, died at the Dover Rehabilitation Center in Dover, NH on Wednesday Dec. 15th, 2004 at the age of 89. Madeline was born & raised in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. She lived in Melrose for 40 years and the past 16 years on Rochester, NH. Madeline was a homemaker and also worked as a Sales Clerk for Jordan Marsh in Malden for over 20 years. She was the beloved wife of Francis J. Vitale. Loving mother of Francis J. Vitale Jr. & his wife Maureen of FL, Robert J. Vitale & his wife Kathleen of Billerica, Barbara A. Wedge & her husband John of Dracut, Linda M. Vitale of Rochester, NH and Theresa G. Gallant & her husband James of Dracut. Cherished sister of Fred Riley of FL. Also survived by 12 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, Dec. 18th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
