Manuella ''Amy'' (DiPietro) Macrina died after a short illness at Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Tues. Aug. 7th at the age of 89. Amy was born in Boston, raised in East Boston, lived most of her life in East Boston, Medford for 14yrs and Melrose the past 15yrs. Amy was a homemaker and a former resident the the Steele House in Melrose. She was the wife of the late N. Anthony Macrina. Mother of Anthony J. Macrina & his wife Virginia of Brookline, Claude A. Macrina of FL and Dennis R. Macrina & his wife Jane of CA. Grandmother of Nicole Macrina-Daly of Saugus, Bryan & Aaron Macrina both of CA. Great grandmother of Ryan Anthony & Thomas James Daly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Aug. 10th at 9AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose 10AM.
