Marcia E. (Talieri) Hume passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. She was 76 years of age. Born in Boston, MA on December 18, 1932 to the late Lawrence & Lavinia (Carleton) Talieri. Marcia was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School and has been a lifelong resident. Mrs. Hume was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother; she worked as a clerk at TriCap Fuel Assistance in Malden for 10 years. Marcia liked spending time with her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, camping at Old Orchard Beach in Maine and most recently making beaded necklaces and watching the Elvis impersonator at the nursing home. Beloved wife of the late Russell E. Hume. Loving mother of Russell L. Hume & his wife Maureen of Stoneham, Margo E. Ringer & her husband Ralph of Saugus and Donald S. Hume & his wife Nancy of Wakefield. Caring sister of Shirley Liskowsky and Anne Farrell both of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Patrick, Andrew, David, Ashley, Donald, Nichole and Bryan. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held at The Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, March 27th, at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
