Margaret E. (Reeves) (Hallinan) Callinan, of Melrose, died at the Life Care Center on Stoneham on Nov. 7, 2011 at the age of 92. Margaret was born & raised in Reading and a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1936. She was a homemaker and resided in Melrose for over 60 years. Margaret was a fantastic cook & seamstress who also enjoyed gardening & golfing. She had a great love for animals, especially her cat "TuTu". Margaret enjoyed spending her summers at the seashore in Hampton & Seabrook and will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends. Margaret touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert B. Hallinan & Ernest L. Callinan Sr. Loving mother of Stephen J. Hallinan & his wife Patricia of Tewksbury. Stepmother of Ernest L. Callinan Jr. & his wife Roberta of Winthrop. Devoted sister of the late Waldo N. Reeves Jr. & his wife Mary Reeves Coman of CT and the late Elizabeth Reeves. Cherished aunt of Carolyn G. Reeves & her husband Thomas Gilson of NY and Robert L. Reeves Esq. & his wife Dr. Elizabeth Chan-Reeves of CA. Great aunt of Ethan W. Gilson & his wife Jimena Juaco of VT. Also survived by 2 step grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at the Gately Funeral home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, Nov. 10th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited to attend. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-6PM. Burial in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
