Margaret J. (Carroll) Roberts died at home on April 26th at the age of 90. She was born and raised in Charlestown, attended Charlestown schools and has been living in Melrose the past 65 years. Maragert was a homemaker and was a former employee at Transitron in Melrose where she worked for several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and St. Mary's Ladies Sodality. Margaret was the wife of the late Thomas W. Roberts, Sr.. Mother of Thomas W. Roberts Jr of FL., Gerald E. Roberts of Stoneham, Karen Roberts of Melrose, Mary Kelley of Melrose, Margaret Gover of Malden and the late Claire Roberts and Charles Roberts. Sister of the late Alfred Carroll, Jeremiah Carroll, Michael Carroll, Katherine LaPlante, Mary Carroll, Anna Foster and Theresa Porecca. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St, Melrose on Wednesday April 30th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 pm. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
