Margaret I. (Welling) Jones died unexpectedly at her home in Melrose on March 11th . Margaret was born in Boston, raised in East Boston and Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School Class of 1941. She was a homemaker and has lived in Melrose the past 41 years. Margaret was a longtime member of Bellevue Golf Club, played with the 'Nine Holers' at Bellevue and was a member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late Francis G. Jones. Sister of Florence Haley of Winchester, Catherine Maloney of Cambridge and the late Dorothy Barnard, Albert Welling and William Welling. Aunt of Betty Camerlengo of Melrose, Ann Janis of Andover, Chet Barnard of Boxford, Tom Haley of E. Walpole, Paul Haley of Winchester, Paul Shaw of Belmont, Barbara Harn & Dick Welling both of GA and Tim Welling of NY. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Saturday March 15th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday 4:00-7:00PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
