Margaret T. "Peg" Kenefick, of Melrose, passed away at the Greenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wakefield at the age of 97.

Peg was born in Everett, raised in Medford and a graduate of Medford High School. She went on to earn her nursing degree from Cambridge City Hospital School of Nursing. Peg was very close to her family and enjoyed spending time going for dinner and drinks with her sisters.

Peg was the devoted daughter of the late Thomas & Elizabeth (Sheehan) Kenefick. Caring aunt of Monica Maietta & her husband Bill of Tewksbury and predeceased by 11 brother and sisters. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be private.
