Margaret V. (Viola) Nardone passed away at the Golden Living Center in Malden, on July 4, 2014. She was 97 years of age. Margaret was born in South Boston on April 12, 1917 to the late Michael & Marguerita (Sinisgalli) Viola, was raised in Malden and attended Malden schools. Mrs. Nardone has been a lifelong resident of Malden. In her younger years she worked at Alps Sportswear in Boston before getting married and raising her family. While raising her family she worked as a seamstress from her home in Malden. Margaret enjoyed cooking, sewing, needle work and was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. But most of all she loved having her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren gather at the family home in Malden. Mrs. Nardone was the beloved wife of 47 years to the late Frank J. Nardone. Loving mother of Margaret "Peggy" Blaisdell & her husband Ricky of Malden, the late Frances Carrozza and her late husband Ralph. Cherished grandmother of Susan Carrozza of Malden, Christine Carrozza of Somerville and Jill Sullivan & her husband Christopher of Wilmington. Great grandmother of Ella Sullivan. Sister of the late Victoria DeVincent, Vincent Viola, Anne Buonopane, Roccina Morelli, Louise Vezerian and Michael Viola. Sister-in-law of Catherine D'Amico of Malden. Aunt of Marianne Vezerian of Rowley. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday, July 8th from 4:00-7:00PM, followed by a funeral service on Wednesday, July 9th at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
