Marie B. (Ruby) Delia passed away at the Melrose Care Center, on December 2, 2006, she was 82. Marie was born in Everett, raised in Everett and Medford and graduated from Medford High School, Class of 1941. She attended the Academy Modern in Boston and was a trained dance teacher for the Arthur Murray School of Dancing. Marie worked as a dance teacher for a few years and then as a nurse's aid at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose for 25 years, retiring in 1991. Mrs. Delia has been a resident of Melrose for over 46 years, she enjoyed, painting, music, dancing and was a longtime member of the Melrose YMCA. Marie is the wife of the late Antonio Delia. Mother of Adrienne M. Trainor & her husband Kenneth, Michael J. Delia & his wife Diane all of Winthrop and Stephanie A. Delia of Cambridge. Sister of Chet Ruby of FL. Grandmother of Patricia, Kenneth, Richard, Michele, Michael & Anthony. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tues. Dec. 5th at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 6-8PM.
