Marie A. (Cinseruli) DiOrio passed away at Greenwood Nursing Center in Wakefield on April 5, 2022. She was 85 years of age. Marie was raised in East Boston and graduated from East Boston High School. Shortly after graduating high school, she became a stewardess (flight attendant) for Northeast (Yellowbird) Airlines. She later worked for Polaroid for many years. She married fellow East Boston resident Tom DiOrio and moved to Melrose where she has been a resident for almost 55 years. Marie was a longtime member of Bellevue Golf Club where she enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Marie enjoyed long walks through the streets of Melrose, gardening, but most of all, her joy in life was raising her grandson Joseph. Marie was the beloved wife of the late Thomas B. DiOrio. Loving mother of Paul J. DiOrio and his wife Adrienne of North Andover and the late Thomas B. DiOrio & his late wife Jill (Johnson) DiOrio. Cherished grandmother of Joey DiOrio and Thomas B. DiOrio. Caring sister of Phyllis Todisco of Winthrop, Frank Cinseruli of Naples, FL and the late Vincent, Matthew, George, Joseph and Carmen Cinseruli. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 w. Foster St. Melrose on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4:00-7:00PM. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home on Saturday morning, April 9th at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Marie's name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital @ www.stjude.org.
