Marie Gertrude LaPlante of Melrose, died peacefully at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital surrounded by her loving family on May 30, 2024 at the age of 86.

She was happily married to Francis L. LaPlante for 55 years.

She had a sister Lorraine Sullivan who predeceased her. She is survived by her Sisters Helen Rodgers Of Andover and Margaret O'Neill of Bedford NH, and brother Robert Lowery of Chelmsford.

Marie worked for New England Telephone in Boston as an administrative assistant for 35 years..

She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, Bowling, Crocheting and attended catholic mass. Marie's sweet and generous nature will be missed by family and friend's.

Mass Of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Mary's Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the funeral mass at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Family & Friend's are kindly invited to attend.
