Marie T. (Dinarello) MacInnes, formerly of Melrose, died August 8, 2017 at the age of 78. Marie was born in Winthrop on October 10, 1938 to Joseph & Rena (Martinoli) Dinarello and was graduated from Melrose High School in 1956. Marie worked as an accountant for Polaroid in Waltham for over thirty years. She always enjoyed traveling, making trips to Italy, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. Marie was also an avid reader and she loved books. Most importantly she loved her family, spending time with her children & grandchildren brought her great joy. Marie was the wife of the late Allan MacInnes. Loving mother of Katherine Iacoviello & her husband Joseph of Reading, William MacInnes & his wife Maria of Melrose, Karen Pecci & her husband Alan of Sutton, Karole O'Leary & her husband Tim of Sutton, and Allan MacInnes & his wife Lydia of Virginia. Sister of Iris Whitehorn & her husband Bob, Carl Dinarello & his wife Janet, Rena Fitzgerald & her husband Tom, and Joseph Dinarello. Also survived by her grandchildren, Timothy and his wife Megan, Joseph and his wife Megan, Nicholas and his wife Sandra, Daniel, Jill, Katrena, Elizabeth, Jack, Victoria, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Christina, Michael, Carrie, Allan, Chelsea and Dominic and great granddaughter Meredith, as well as many nieces & nephews. Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, August 13th from 3-6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday, August 14th, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
