Marie P. (Bono) Piscitello passed away at Youville Hospital in Cambridge, on July 19, 2007. She was 65 years of age. Born in the North End of Boston to the late Charles & Anna (Gilardi) Bono, she was raised in the North End and graduated from Julie Billiard High School. Marie married Anthony A. Piscitello in 1964 and lived in Medford for 10 years. In 1974 they moved to Melrose to raise their family. Mrs. Piscitello was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She worked part time for Russos Candy House in Saugus and as a crossing guard for the City of Melrose for 20 years; a good portion of the time at the corner of Melrose St. & Tremont St.. Marie was very talented; she loved to paint, sew, crochet, arts & crafts and cooking. Mrs. Piscitello enjoyed square dancing and loved to traveling throughout Europe and the United States. She was the beloved wife of Anthony A. Piscitello. Loving mother of Anthony A. & his wife Emily of N. Reading, Michael C. of Arlington and Robert J. & his wife Jill of Stoughton. Devoted sister of Jennie Butera, Lillian Galante, Terri Bono, Vincent, Anthony, Paul, Charles, Michael, Joseph & Louis Bono and the late Anna Federico & Josephine Conte. Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Gregory, Kaelie & Anthony. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday July 23rd at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-7PM. Interment in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
