Marie T. ( Brown ) Tosi, 82, died Sunday at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn after a brief illness. Born and raised in Melrose, she was a life-long resident. Marie graduated from St Mary's grade school in 1935 and from Medford High in 1939. She and her husband John owned and operated Melrose Real Estate of Burlington until 1970. Marie was employed by the City of Melrose in the Council on Aging Office and the Collector's Office at City Hall until 1980. She was a member of the Medford American Legion Auxiliary and a parishioner of St Mary's Church, Melrose. Marie was the wife of the late John H. Tosi. Mother of Joanne Miller of Cotuit, Gail Connors of FL, Linda Bracey of Woburn, Terry Pearson of Stoneham and Kathleen Lind of Melrose. Sister of Jacqueline Delery of NJ and the late James 'Bud' Brown. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Wed May 26th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts., Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tues 4 - 9 PM. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
