Marie J. Turner, 71, died at St Elizabeths Hospital, Brighton, Sunday morning after a brief illness. Born in Somerville, she was a life-long resident of Melrose. Marie graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1947. She was the Traffic Supervisor for 40 years at the corner of Vinton & W. Emerson Sts. She was a member of the North Suburban Mother of Twins Club, a parishioner of St Mary's Church and a former volunteer at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for many years. Marie was the wife of the late Harold J. Turner. Mother of Brian A. Turner of NJ, Kevin E. Turner of Chelmsford, Kathleen A. Rotondi of Melrose and Gayle M. Turner of Medfield. Grandmother of Joseph Rotondi & Katie Rotondi of Melrose and Michael , Amanda & Emily Turner of NJ. Loving cousin of Patricia Gregorio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St Melrose on Wednesday May 30 at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert St. Melrose at 11 AM.
