Marilyn L. (Gulla) Glover, wife of the late Kenneth Glover of Melrose with whom she shared 61 years of marriage, died peacefully on March 7th, 2025. She was 86 years old.

She was the only daughter of the late Patrick and Adeline Gulla, also of Melrose.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Glover spent her early years in Everett, and moved with her family in 1952 to Melrose, where she lived until her passing. A graduate of Melrose High School Class of 1956, she worked in the development office at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for more than 30 years.

A very talented vocalist and lover of music of all kinds, she enjoyed singing in her youth and entertained veterans and patients at many hospitals in the area. Marilyn was especially happy when attending the many activities her children and grandchildren participated in over the years.

She leaves two sons, Mark Glover and his wife Madeline of Waltham and Richard Glover and his wife Maryann of North Andover, four grandchildren (Vincent and his wife Courtney, Kenneth and his wife Michelle, Alexa and Elana) and four great-grandchildren (Brynne, Devyen, Carys and Anthony). She also leaves a brother, Richard Gulla and his wife Joy Camp of Melrose, and sisters-in-law Sylvia Gulla of Westerly, R.I., and Marilyn Gulla of Andover. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Robert Gulla of Westerly, R.I. and Ernest Gulla of Andover. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 4-7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
