Marilyn (McKnight) Paladino, age 90, of Andover, died peacefully on July 8th, 2023 in North Reading, MA. She was the second child born to Allan and Evelyn (Carson) McKnight on June 11,1933 in Malden, MA where she grew up with her siblings: the late Richard McKnight, James McKnight, the late John (Jack) Lockhart, Gayle Stulzaft, and Donald McKnight.

Marilyn (Linn) married Frank Paladino in 1951 and lived in Medford, MA before they moved to Valley Stream, NY, then to Stanton, CA, then to Santa Ana, CA, then to Malden, MA, then to Woburn, MA, then to Wakefield, MA, settling in Andover, MA.

She is survived by her husband, Frank of Andover, their daughter Joanne Scannell and her husband, David, of Peabody and their son, John Paladino and his wife, Allyson, of North Reading, along with 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her youngest child, Michele.

Marilyn loved family gatherings and visiting friends, shopping, travelling, and playing Keno. She was proud of her distinguished career as both a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker while living in Massachusetts.

Her family sends special appreciation to Stonehill Assisted Living of Andover, Aspen Hill Rehab in Haverhill, Atria Marland Place in Andover, and Royal Meadow View Nursing Home in North Reading and Hospice Care (Tufts and Merrimack Valley) for their inspirational care for Marilyn during her later years.

Services will be private for family members from 9-10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 12th at Gately Funeral Home, 79 Foster Street, Melrose, MA immediately followed by interment at Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem Street, Woburn, MA.

Her family graciously requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
