Marilynde M. (Mahoney) Dolan, of Melrose, died at her home on April 16, 2012 at the age of 88. Marilynde was born & raised in Melrose on April 3, 1924 to the late John P. & Clara (Gately) Mahoney. Marilynde lived above the Gately Funeral Home on Myrtle St. in Melrose for several years and was a graduate of Melrose High School. She resided in Melrose for most of her life and worked as a Register Nurse at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital for over 32 years before her retirement. Marilynde was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Dolan Sr. for over 50 years. Loving mother of Peter J. Dolan Jr. of NV & the late Paula Harrington & her late husband Richard. Marilynde thought of Thomas Lee Huston of N. Reading as her second son. Cherished grandmother of John Dolan & his wife Amy, Alea Zoubi & her husband Solomon , all of CA, Kim Perkins & her husband Nick of Groveland and the late Amy Griffin. Caring sister of the late Francis J. Mahoney. Great grandmother of Blayney & Hayden Dolan, Zayn Zoubi, Corri, Travis and Niclara Perkins. Step grandmother of Nicholas Willis & William Ross. Step great grandmother of Katie Willis. Aunt of Michael Dolan. A memorial Mass will be held at the Brooksby Village Chapel in Peabody on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham will be private.
