Marion F. Rice passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital, on May 13, 2006. She was 77. Born to the late Albert & Mary (Kennedy) Rice, she was raised in Melrose and graduated from St. Marys Grammar School. Marion lived in Melrose most of her life and the last 20 years in Boston. She worked at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 15 years and then as a clerk at Morgan Memorial in Boston for over 20 years. Marion was a lifelong Red Sox fan and a longtime member of St. Marys Church in Melrose. She was the sister of Sr. Florence Rice SHCJ, Sr. Eleanor Rice SJCH both of PA and the late Albert R. Rice. Aunt of Michael Rice of PA, Judith Rice & Suzanne Bradley both of Tewksbury. Also survived by several grand nieces & grand nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. May 17th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Tues. 4-8PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
