Obituary

Marion D.(Doucette) Young passed away on June 9, 2005, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, she was 88. She was born in Boston, raised in Everett, she graduated from Everett High School and lived most of her life in Everett. Marion worked for the Jordan Marsh Company for 26 years as a Personal Director. She moved to Melrose in 1986 and was very involved in the community. She was a member of the Melrose Community Associates, the Historical Society, a member of the board of directors for the Mystic Valley Elder Services for 24 years, 10 year commissioner for the Melrose Housing Authority, a board member of AARP, also President of Tenants Association & President of the Social Club at the Steele House. She was the devoted wife of the late Oscar V. Young. Loving mother of Richard J. Young & his wife Carol of Hampstead, NH & Ronda G. Moulds & her husband John J. of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Sean & Kelly Moulds, Richard, Steven, Donald, Kevin, James, & Ronda Jean Young. Sister of the late Gladys Hucksam & the late James Doucette. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday, June 13, at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marions name may be made to the Melrose Friends of the Aging c/o Jack Beckley 201 W. Foster St. Melrose, MA 02176. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery in Everett.
