Marjorie B. (Finck) Leahy Bertolucci passed away at the Millbury Healthcare Center, on July 28, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She was 81 years of age. Born in Boston on June 28, 1926, she was raised in Waltham & Malden and graduated from Malden High School. Marjorie was a homemaker, who had worked a variety of part time jobs over the years including as a dental assistant and as a bookkeeper for Hill & Company of Melrose on Franklin St. and at the Shoe String in Stoneham. Marjorie has been a resident of Melrose for the past 60 years. She described the day in 2006 on which she celebrated her 80th birthday with her entire family present at Lake Winnipesaukee, as one of the best days of her life. She dearly loved her pets, especially the dogs that were rescued from shelters with special remembrance of her last faithful companion Cindy. She loved going dancing and spending time with her dance crowd. She held special memories of her friends from Florida, including the K-Mart coffee crowd. There wasnt an antique shop in New England that she could pass by without poking her head into it for a quick look-see. She also loved music, crocheting, needlepoint, reading and most of all shopping for shoes! Daughter of the late Mildred B. and George O. Finck. She is survived by her five children; Stephen P. Leahy Sr. & his wife Janet of Wakefield, Leo P. Leahy Jr. of NH, Kenneth M. Leahy & his wife Linda of NH, Mora A. Leahy of Melrose and Alan E. Leahy of RI. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Marjories name may be made to the MSPCA, 350 S.
