Marjorie L. (Rendall) Burke, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on June 28, 2005 at the age of 77. Marjorie was born & raised in Dorchester, graduated from Melrose High School in 1945 and lived the last 35 years in Wakefield. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War Auxiliary #79 in Melrose, the quarter Century Club at John Hancock Insurance Company and a member of the First Baptist Church in Melrose for many years. Marjorie worked as an Accountant for the John Hancock Insurance Company for over 40 years until he retirement in 1987. She was the loving wife of the late Stephen J. Burke Jr. Caring sister of the late Janet L. Bills. Cherished cousin of Dale Beals, Jane Jilkins, both of Plainfield and Betty Moore of FL. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday July 6th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be held 1 hour prior to the service from 1011AM. Burial in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
