Mark Eldridge died suddenly in Somerville April 3rd at the age of 40. Mark was born in Everett, raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High Class of 1980. He lettered in football in high school and played football for 1 year at Bridgewater State College. Mark lived in Somerville and Medford the past few years and worked as a chef for several area restaurants. He was the son of Walter R. Eldridge of Iowa and the late Helen (Coughlan) Eldridge. Brother of Susan Keene of ME, David Eldridge of N.Reading and John Eldridge. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. April 10th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tues. 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
