Martha M. (Squires) Lynch passed away at Blueberry Hill Nursing Center in Danvers on June 2nd at the age of 84. Martha was born in Everett, graduated from Everett High School and Salem State College with a Masters in Education. Mrs. Lynch worked as a 1st grade teacher at the Washington Elementary School in Melrose for many years and as a substitute teacher at Winthrop Elementary School in Melrose for over 20 years. Martha has been a resident of Melrose for the past 45 years, was an avid golfer and a member of Mt. Hood Golf Club until the age of 81. Mrs Lynch was a member of the Massachusetts Teacher's Assoc., a member of Incarnation Church in Melrose and was a CCD Co-ordinator at church for many years. Martha was the wife of 53 years to the late Robert J. Lynch Sr. Beloved mother & mother-in-law of Robert J. Lynch Jr. (Essex County Juvenile Probation) of Salem, Stephen & Kathleene Lynch (MA State Police Logan Airport) of Stoneham and Maureen & Bill Noyes (MA Teachers Assoc.) of Saugus. Loving grandmother Kristin Stanley of Woburn, Erin Carroll of NH, Meghan Lynch of N. Andover, Billy & Katelyn Noyes of Saugus, and Cameron Lynch of Salem. Great grandmother of Bailey Elisabeth Carroll. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Saturday June 5th at 9AM. Funeral mass in the Church of the Incarnation at 10AM.
