Mary V. Allan, of Somerville, died at the Winthrop House Nursing Center in Medford on Sunday Nov. 23rd at the age of 74. Mary was born & raised in Medford and graduated from Brandeis Vocational High School in Boston. She lived in Boston for 40 years until moving to Somerville 20 years ago.. Mary was a Nurse's Assistant in the cardiac unit at Children's Hospital in Boston for 40 years. She volunteered at Little Sister's of the Poor in Somerville for many years and was an avid bowler. Mary was the daughter of the late William & Susan (Buckley) Allan. Cousin of Marianna T. Cerretani & her husband John of Stoneham and Paul Galvin & his wife Barbara of Saugus. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday Nov. 25th at 8:30AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30AM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
