Mary ( Machado ) Anderson-Conomacos,87, died unexpectedly Saturday at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Born Santa Maria, Azores, she was brought up in Cambridge. Mary was a secretary at John Hancock Insurance Co., Boston, for over 23 years. She had lived in Malden for 7 years prior to moving to Melrose 60 years ago. She was active in the 200 Club at St Mary's and the Melrose Council on Aging. Mary was the wife of the late John R. Anderson and the late William Conomacos. Mother of Elizabeth Bartolet and her late husband Chester of Hopedale, Dolores Egan and her husband Frank of Melrose, the late Thomas Conomacos & his wife Peg of Salem NH, and the late Dorothy Conomacos. Sister of the late John Leonardo. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St. Melrose on Tues Dec 11 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts, Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
