Mary A. Melina (Pagliarulo) Belmonte passed away at her home in Melrose, on September 10, 2007. She was 87 years of age. Mary was born in Boston, raised in Revere, attended Revere Schools and graduated from Boston Trade School in 1938. Melina was a homemaker; she lived in Revere until 1988 and Melrose for the past 19 years. Mrs. Belmonte was a member of St. Anthonys Church in Revere for most of her life and St. Marys Church in Melrose for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who was happy to spend time with her family, was very easy going and loved to cook. Melina was the beloved wife of Agostino J. Belmonte of Melrose. Loving mother of Susan R. Chavanne & her husband Marc of Melrose and Linda C. Johnston & her husband Daniel of Norfolk. Devoted daughter of the late John & Assunta (Cerrone) Pagliarulo and stepdaughter of Bessie Pagliarulo. Cherished grandmother of Laura, David & Julie Chavanne, Ryan Johnston and Kaylin Groenheide. Caring sister of Luciano GiGi Pagliarulo & his wife Norma of Hudson, Albert Pagliarulo & his wife Theresa of Revere and Patsy Pagliarulo & his wife Ann of Cranston, RI. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Sept. 14th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church Herbert St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited.
