Mary E. (Lowney) Camuso passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on October 4, 2009. She was born in Lowell on July 27, 1932, daughter of the late John and Lilla (Durkin) Lowney. She graduated from the Sacred Heart Grammar School and from Keith Hall, Class of 1950. After graduating, Mary worked for the Boston and Maine Railroad in Boston until her marriage. Mary has been a resident of Melrose since 1963 and has summered in Humarock since 1964. She worked as an administrative assistant at Congress Asset Management in Boston for over 15 years. Mrs. Camuso was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, bowling, walking on Humarock Beach, and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late William H. Camuso Jr.. Loving mother of William E. Camuso & his wife Lee of Boxford, Edward J. Camuso of Wakefield, Robert M. Camuso & his wife Grace of Ashland, Richard J. Camuso & his wife Janice of Reading, Mary-Jo Camuso of Haverhill, and Judith A. Camuso of Freeport, ME. Devoted grandmother of Billy, Johnny, Lauren, Mikey, Julie, Eddie, Kristen, Matt, Lindsey, Kelly, Brendan, Liam, Brittany, Scotty, Shaunna, and Jeffrey. Sisetr of the late John J. Lowney Jr. and Rev. Edward D. Lowney, O.M.I. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Sat. October 10th, at 9AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10 AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 4-8 PM.
