Obituary

Mary A. Connolly passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on January 24, 2006, she was 91. Mary was born and raised in South Boston, graduated from high school in Boston, lived in Dorchester for over 40 years and has been a resident of Melrose the past10 years. Miss Connolly worked for the Gillette Company in Boston in quality control for many years and was a member of the Gillette Bowling League. She was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Anthonys Shrine in Boston, volunteered at the St. Francis House in Boston for many years and was a former member of St. Brendans Church in Dorchester. Mary was a devoted sister & aunt and enjoyed knitting & crocheting. She was the daughter of the late Joseph & Annie (McCormack) Connolly. Sister of the late Catherine A. MacInnis, Joseph T., Margaret T., John P., Francis P. and Anne Connolly. Sister-in-law of Rose Connolly of Jamaica Plain. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, Jan. 27th, at 9:30AM. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday morning from 8:309:30AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery in Boston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthonys Shrine, 100 Arch St. Boston 02110.
