Mary E. (Hutchinson) Dargan, of Melrose died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Dec. 15, 2015 at the age of 85. Mary was born in Somerville, raised in Cambridge, resided in Somerville for many years and Melrose for the past 19 years. She was a homemaker and worked as a lunch mother at the Lincoln School in Melrose. Mary enjoyed dancing, detective shows and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael G. Dargan. Loving mother of Darleen Wilkins & her husband Ron of Melrose, and the late Kathleen M. Grigas. Cherished grandmother of Jimmy, Irene, Kimberly, and Rachel. Proud great-grandmother of Haylee, Sophia, Aaron, Lilly, and Alexander. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 9 Herbert St., Melrose, on Friday, December 18th, at 9 AM. Interment at Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mary's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
