Mary A. (O'Brien) Ford of New Seabury and Melrose passed away on Wednesday November 14 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a lenghty illness at the age of 78. A lifelonf resident of Melrose, Mrs. Ford sent the passed few years in New Seabury in Mashpee, MA . She was the wife of 55years of Robert V. Ford. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Girls Grammer and High Schools and was a proud member of the 'Winnie Club' as well as a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Ford worked for several years as a Secretary for New England Telephone Company while raising her family. In addition to her husband she is survived by 3 sons Brian G. Ford of Melrose, Lawrence Ford of Oakley, CA. and Robert B. Ford of Melrose. She was the sister of the late Frank O'Brien (late Chief Melrose Fire Dept.) and is also survived by 3 granddaughters Colleen, Kelly and Kennedy and dear friend Kathy Brophy who was like a daughter to her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday Nov. 19 at St. Mary's Church - Herbert St Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm. Interment in the family lot in Oak Grove Cemetery Medford. In lieu of flowers Mary's family requests contributions in her memory to St. Mary's Parish Building Fund 46 Mytle St Melrose, MA 02176
