Obituary

Mary E. (Mullen) King, of Melrose, formerly of Medford, died at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home in Chelsea on April 26, 2008 at the age of 85. Mary was born in Everett and lived there until the age of 12. She moved to Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1940. Mary resided in Medford until 1981 and has lived in Melrose for the past 27 years. She worked as a Salesperson for Electrolux Vacuum Company in Malden for over 25 years and was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield for many years. She was the loving mother of William F. King Jr. & his wife Jeanne of North Reading, Paul G. King & his wife Karen of Melrose and Kathleen Gray & her husband Douglas of NY. Caring grandmother of Meridith, Alyssa-Ann, and Paul Jr. Devoted sister of Anne Lyons & her husband Frank of GA, William E. Mullen of NH and the late Joseph F. Mullen & Robert M. Mullen. Cherished sister in law of Dorothy Mullen of Everett. Special friend & companion of the late Warren Quinn. Close friend of Rita T. Jordan of Malden. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday May 2nd at 9AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to Parkinson Disease Assoc. 720 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.
