Mary F. (Hayes) Littlewood, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 15, 2023.

Mary was raised in Charlestown until the age of 12, when she moved to Malden. She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High School, Class of 1941. Mary lived in Malden until 1994, when she moved to Melrose. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Parish in Melrose. Mary also loved the beach and traveling to Aruba.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Littlewood. Loving mother of Jeanne Kinnon & her husband Clement of Malden, Mary Walsh & her husband Francis of Wilmington, Michael Littlewood & his wife Kathleen of NC, Robert Littlewood & his wife Jackie of Pembroke, Thomas Littlewood of Melrose, Kathleen Provitola & her husband Eric of Malden and the late Joseph Littlewood. Caring sister of the late Francis Hayes & his late wife Phyllis, the late Harold Hayes & his wife Patricia of Malden and the late Kathleen Puopolo & her late husband Angelo. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 2:00PM-5:00PM. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 8:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose at 9:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
