Mary A. (Driscoll) Manning of Quincy, died November 8, 2007 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center of Wakefield. She was 93 years old. Born on October 11, 1914 in Jamaica Plain to the late Leo & Mary (Sullivan) Driscoll, she was raised in South Boston and graduated from Girls High School, class of 1933. Mary attended one year at Boston University before her marriage to Michael F. Manning. She was employed for 15 years as a secretary with the draft board during the Vietnam War. Mrs. Manning enjoyed traveling, listening to 40s music, talking on the telephone with her daughter, Mary and she loved her grandchildren. She was the devoted wife of the late Michael F. Manning. Loving mother of Mary C. Lynch & her husband Robert of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Richard D. Lynch & his wife Susan of Sudbury, Kathleen M. Zanoni & her husband Michael of Glenns Falls, NY, Brian P. Lynch & his wife Seema of Melrose & Jessica M. Lynch, also of Melrose. Caring great grandmother of Haley, Meaghan & Brian Lynch, Barbara & Jacob Zanoni, Sarah & Benjamin Lynch. Sister in law of Margaret Driscoll of Charlestown. Sister of the late Leo, Joseph & John Driscoll & stepsister of the late Charles Gallagher & Olive Richards. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tues. Nov. 13th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Family & friends invited. Visiting hours Mon. 5-8PM. Interment in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
