Mary F. (Russo) Piccolo passed away at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose on January 30th at the age of 89. She was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar & St. Mary's High School, Boston College, Boston State & Leslie College. Mary worked as a teacher in the Belmont School System for 10 years and taught at St. Mary's of Providence in Chicago for 12 years. Mary was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church Guild, volunteered many hours for the Red Cross and did volunteer work for the mentally handicapped. She was the wife of the late Frank C. Piccolo. Mother of Beverly Piccolo of Melrose. Sister of Vincent Simeone of Melrose and the late Raymond, Lawrence, Augustus & Constance Simeone. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. Feb.4th at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited.
