Mary Rita (Beaudreau) Reidy of Dorchester, died on January 7, 2010 at the Dexter House in Malden. She was 96 years old. Born on September 10, 1913 in Boston, she was raised in Braintree and the South End of Boston. Mary attended Braintree Schools and worked as a housekeeper after her husband passed away in 1943. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard J. Reidy, loving mother of Rita M. Lennick & her husband Robert Spitzler of NY, NY, Richard J. Reidy & his wife Anne of Melrose & Daniel B. Reidy & his wife Margaret of Plymouth. Cherished grandmother of Richard J. Reidy, Jr. & his wife Dawn of Wilmington, Elizabeth A. Reidy of Melrose, Patricia M. Reidy, also of Melrose, Michael P. Reidy & his wife Kristen of Malden, Matthew T. Reidy & his wife Deirdre of Alexandria, VA, Joan Reidy of Brooklyn, NY, Lois Reidy of Plymouth & Ryan Reidy also of Plymouth. Special great grandmother of Veronica & Soibhan Reidy. A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) 1545 Tremont St., Roxbury on Tues. Jan. 12th at 10:30AM. Visiting hours from 9:30-10:30AM in the Church. Interment in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home of Melrose.
