Mary R. (Sullivan) Sinnott, of Melrose, died at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham on July 13, 2007. Mary was born in Malden, raised in Melrose and a graduate of St. Marys High School in Melrose. She was a lifelong Melrose resident and member of St. Marys Church & Ladies Sodality for many years. Mary loved knitting, sewing, reading and traveling to Florida. Most of all, she had a great love for her family. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Sinnott. Loving mother of John J. Sinnott & his wife Jeanne of Westwood, Kathleen M. West & her husband Robert of S. Weymouth and Peter J. Sinnott & his wife Karen of Melrose. Devoted sister of Charles Sullivan of Peabody, Eileen Mayhew of Marthas Vineyard and the late John, Daniel, James, Margaret & Francis Sullivan, Kathleen Flynn, and Gertrude Lally. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday July 18th at 9:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church Herbert St., Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30-10:15AM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
