Mary I. (Gibbons) Stiles passed away at her son's home in Chelmsford on Dec. 10th at the age of 78. Mary was born and raised in Melrose, attended Melrose Schools and was a lifelong resident. She worked in the dairy department at Cerretani's Supermarket in Melrose for 10 years and at Mal's Supermarket in Malden for 10 years. Mary was an avid bingo player and a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late John K. Stiles. Mother of Beverly A. Forrest & her husband Robert of Stoneham, John Kenneth Stiles Jr. & his wife Nina of Chelmsford and Linda M. Stevens of Malden. Sister of Rose Gibbons of Billerica and Ethel Martino of Tewksbury. Grandmother of Robert Forrest Jr., Lloyd Stevens, Jon C. & Todd A. Rae, Marion Jordan, Julia Carey and Katrina Murphy. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Dec. 12th at 9AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
