MaryJane (Fogg) Hardiman, a lifelong resident of Melrose, died peacefully on December 30, 2024, at the age of 95. She was born in Melrose on March 3, 1929, to the late Ellen E. (Burns) and Willard F. Fogg. MaryJane was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1957. She worked in the insurance business in Boston for many years before marrying her late husband, William, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield.

MaryJane retired after marrying William Hardiman in May 1982. They traveled extensively and enjoyed spending time with family. She loved her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing and was an avid tennis player. In her spare time, she was a devoted volunteer at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital gift shop as well as the Lynnfield senior center.

MaryJane was the loving wife of the late William Hardiman. She is survived by her stepchildren; Michael Hardiman of Malden, Julie Briggs & her husband Stephen of Melrose, Ann Wilson & her husband Raymond of Chelmsford, Paul Hardiman & his wife Doreen of Derby, KS, and Mary McNally & her husband Kevin of Lynnfield. Proud grandmother of Jennifer, Kara, Jeffrey, Michael, the late Ryan, Julia, Raymond, Seth, Karlee, Katie, Grace, and nine great-grandchildren.

Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, January 7ᵗʰ, 2025, from 10:00AM-12:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 7ᵗʰ, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield. Interment to follow the mass at Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest St., Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
