Mathew Joseph "Marty" Corso, of Melrose, died at the Epoch of Melrose on Oct. 19, 2013 at the age of 85. Marty was born & raised in Revere and attended Revere Schools. He resided in Melrose for over 50 years and was an avid Boston Celtics & sports fan. Marty was a member of the Local #25 Teamsters and worked as a Fork Lift Operator for Shaughnessy & Ahern Hauling & Rigging Company in South Boston for many years. He enjoyed hunting and was member of the National Rifle Association. Marty was a "Good Family Man" and the beloved husband of Mary A. Corso for 58 years. Loving father of Matthew E. Corso & his wife Linda of Haverhill and Mark J. Corso & his wife Kim of Melrose. Devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Mathew, Bryan & Bridget. Caring brother of Anna Milner of SC, Dolly Janiak of Revere and the late Pat Janiak. Brother in law of Janet Ann Young of Malden. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 25th at 1PM at the Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
