Matthew Paul Glaser Sr. of Woburn lost his yearlong battle with cancer and died on June 21, 2008 at the age of 53. Matthew grew up in Woburn, attending Woburn High School, Class of 1973 and went on to become a graduate of Northeastern University School of Pharmacy, Class of 1979. As the Senior Vice President of Adheris Inc., Matthew worked tirelessly for patient education in pharmaceuticals. Endearing and respected, Matthew loved his family and his work. He valued patience, diligence, and a courteous regard for others. He loved to read, finding knowledge and perspective in his books, as well as travel the world to places such as Ireland and Iceland et al. Matthew is survived by Joan (B. (Cochrane) Glaser and their four children Bethany, Matt, John and Hannah Glaser, to whom he was devoted. He was the beloved son to Louise Glaser and the late Charles Glaser of Woburn. Brother of Christopher Glaser & his wife Colleen, Carl Glaser & his wife Patricia all of Woburn, Kurt Glaser & his wife Mary of CT, Timothy Glaser & his wife Ryoko of Wilmington and Elizabeth Desnoyers & her husband Peter of Cambridge. Also survived by his beloved pet Shally and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Relatives, friends and coworkers are invited to attend the wake at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster Street in Melrose, on Tuesday June 24 from 4pm-8pm. The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church, 561 Main Street on Wednesday June 25 at 10am.
