Maureen (Shinney) Carroll died suddenly at home Aug. 28th at the age of 55. Maureen was born and raised in Malden, graduated from Girls Catholic High School Class of 1964 and has lived in Melrose the past 31years. She worked as a Real Estate Broker for Century 21 Sexton & Donahue in Melrose for the past 18yrs and was a member of the Eastern Middlesex Board of Realtors. Maureen was a former Blue Bird Leader and had taught CCD at Incarnation Church and St. Mary's Church in Melrose. Maureen was the loving wife of Patrick G. Carroll. Devoted mother of Amy M. Coumounduros & her husband Peter of Reading, Michael P. & Brian P. Carroll both of Melrose. Beloved grandmother of Caroline & Caitlin Coumounduros. Sister of Brendan Shinney & his wife Janet of Whitman and the late George W. Shinney Jr. Daughter of the late George W. & Amy (Jones) Shinney. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday Sept. 2nd at 9AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited.
