Maureen A. Foley passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on Saturday, April 5, 2014. She was 82 years of age. Maureen was born in New York to the late John F. & Mary E. (Morrissey) Foley. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School, Class of 1949. Miss Foley lived in Stoneham for many years and the past 8 years in North Andover. Maureen worked for over thirty years at the Fiduciary Trust Company in Boston. She loved to travel and was a longtime Bruins Fan and season ticket holder for over 30 years during the 70's, 80's & 90's!. Maureen was the daughter of the late John F. & Mary E. (Morrissey) Foley. Sister of the later Richard Foley & his wife Sheila of Andover and the late John & Virginia Foley. Aunt of Kevin Foley, Patricia Alberti, Theresa Foley, Robert Foley, Vincent Foley, Brian Foley, Ellen Beck, Mary Camara & Thom Foley. Also survived by several grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, April 9th at 8AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School, 4 Myrtle St. Melrose, MA 02176.
