May T. (Courtney) Foote passed away on Jan. 6th at the Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston RI at the age of 88. May was born and raised in Cambridge, graduated from Cambridge High & Latin Class of 1934 and from Bryant Stratton Business School. She was a homemaker, a Melrose resident for over 50 years and summered at Bow Lake in NH for 30 years. Mrs. Foote was a member of the Melrose Fish & Game Club and one of the original parishioners at Incarnation Church in Melrose. She was the wife of the late John A. Foote. Mother of Donna M. Turgeon & her husband David of Johnston RI and John J. Foote & his wife Callie of Kensington NH. Sister of the late Kathleen (Courtney) Clark. Grandmother of Stephanie Turgeon of FL, Craig Turgeon of RI and Sarah Foote of NH. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Jan. 10th at 9AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
