Michael J. Cremin Jr died peacefully at the age of 90 at the GlenRidge Nursing Care Center Thursday night. Born and raised in Boston, he graduated from Bentley College in 1953 and later from the Cardinal Cushing School of Theology. Michael served in the Army during WW II and was bus driver for the MBTA for 30 years until he retired in 1973. He and his wife Marie resided in in Somerville for over 40 years and moved to Melrose 22 years ago. Michael was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Post # 27 of Somerville and a 50 year member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local # 589 of Boston. Michael was the husband of Marie R. ( Pizzell ) Cremin. Father of Mary Cremin-Lucy of Somerville, Katherine M. Cremin of Melrose, Michael J. Cremin III of Revere, Albert G. Cremin of NY, Anne M. Langton of Melrose, U S Army Col Mark D. Cremin of VA and Maureen Ann Kevane of Melrose. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a nephew Albert Figuerido. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Mon Sept 29 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St, Wakefield, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sun 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. WW II Army veteran. 50 year member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local # 0589.
